Happy NBA Jersey Day!

On the eve of opening night of the NBA’s 78th season, join fans around the world in celebrating the game by rocking your favorite NBA jersey. The league is holding its fourth annual NBA Jersey Day today, on Oct. 23, encouraging fans to support their favorite teams and players by wearing their favorite jersey on the eve of opening night.

It has been more than three months since the Denver Nuggets won their first NBA championship. After an eventful offseason, the anticipation for the 2023-24 season is growing. Opening night, Oct. 24, is right around the corner.

Fans can participate on the NBA Jersey day by following these steps:

  • Sharing a photo of themselves, their friends or family in a WNBA, NBA or G League jersey of any era on social media.
  • Use the hashtag #NBAJerseyDay.
  • Tag their favorite teams and players for a chance to be featured on league and team social media channels, or the NBA App.

Whether they pick from their existing collection, or they add a new jersey to the rotation for the upcoming season, fans have many options to choose from. Maybe the roster of their favorite team could have also changed slightly and their favorite player switched teams in the offseason — Bradley Beal went the Phoenix Suns, Marcus Smart is on the Memphis Grizzlies, Chris Paul was traded to the Golden State Warriors, Kristaps Porzingis went to the Boston Celtics, Damian Lillard went to the Milwaukee Bucks and more.

Fans will also be able to support the European talent crushing it in the league by wearing their jerseys as 25% of NBA players now come from the region. This is the time to rock Giannis’ No. 34, Luka’s No. 77, or Jokic’s No. 15 iconic jerseys. Victor Wembanyama has picked number 1 as his first number with the Spurs.

A handful of teams have already unveiled their new looks for the upcoming season: the Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz. Plus, there will be more to come as the season approaches.

If fans are still looking for the perfect jersey, they can shop online in Europe at NBAStore.eu, as well as in the UAE and across the Middle East in NBAStoreME.com. Alternatively, fans visit any of the NBA stores in London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Abu Dhabi and Doha, Qatar.

For fans who may want to match their favorite teams and players, the NBA’s LockerVision website will be releasing the uniforms all 30 teams will be wearing through the first half of the upcoming season today Oct. 23 in celebration of NBA Jersey Day.
