Panel dziennikarzy sportowych ze Stanów Zjednoczonych i Kanady, wybrał dwie najlepsze piątki obrońców za sezon regularny 2019-20. W pierwszej znaleźli się: Rudy Gobert z Jazz, Anthony Davis z Lakers, Giannis Antetokounmpo z Bucks (najlepszy obrońca tego sezonu), Ben Simmons z 76ers oraz Marcus Smart z Celtics.

Do drugiej wybrano następujących graczy: Kawhi Leonard i Patrick Beverley z Clippers, Brook Lopez i Eric Bledsoe z Bucks oraz Bam Adebayo z Heat.
